Hannah Henze began taking aerial lessons in 2014 with Como Aerial Arts and

immediately fell in love. She worked to take classes as often as her schedule would

allow and really found her passion in aerial art. With background in gymnastics,

dance, and pole (locally with Muse Pole Fitness), aerial arts fit in perfectly. She

continues practicing, performing, teaching, and learning through her aerial

adventure. Currently, Hannah is the Chair of Como Aerial Arts and is helping to

bring the organization forward and become better known in the Midwest region. In

2018 she graduated from École Nationale de Cirque located in Montreal, Quebec,

Canada, earning her degree: Attestation of Collegial Studies as an Instructor of

Circus Arts. Hannah has a combined Bachelor’s degree from the University of

Missouri in chemistry, biology, and health science as well as two different minors in

nuclear engineering. In addition to performing aerial arts, she works full time for the

University Of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) as the first female NRC licensed

reactor operator at MURR, and part-time teaching aerial and yoga. She has also

introduced a yoga class with cats, teaching monthly at Papa’s Cat Café and

volunteering her time to Second Chance to help bring awareness to the no-kill

shelter and lead a community yoga class in the process!

Hannah teaches workshops and has performed across the Midwest. In 2016

she competed in the professional division for lyra at the Central Pole

Championships, placing 3 rd in May and open division lyra at the North American Pole

Dance Championships in July where she received the Bronze Distinguished

Performance award! In August of 2016, she competed at the Pole Sport Organization

National Competition in professional lyra due to her qualifying placement at CPC. In

2017 she competed at The Capital of Texas Aerial Championship where she placed

2 nd in Professional Lyra and competed in Semi-Pro Silks. In 2018 she placed first in

Advanced Silks at Aerialympics in St. Louis, Missouri. She has also traveled to St.

Petersburg Russia, Dominican Republic, and all of the United States for professional

aerial training from world renowned aerial artists. She plans on completing her 200-

RYT (Registered Yoga teacher) certification this summer of 2019 and is working on

a Master’s degree in Veterinary Public Health. Hannah loves learning and sharing

her knowledge with others and is looking forward to what 2019 has to offer!
