Wheel Throwing is a course designed to introduce students to create functional forms on the potter’s wheel. This course will allow students to explore an manipulate the clay as they learn the techniques needed to throw a pot on the pottery wheel. Students will also learn how to trim a foot onto the bottom of their pieces, use tools and equipment in the studio, how to glaze an decorate their pots, and the kiln firing process.
*Due to a limited amount of wheels, you may have to share a pottery wheel and take turns. While waiting to use the wheel, you have the option to watch the other person throwing or hand build.
