Jem- Scout’s brother a few years older than scout,
Atticus- Scouts Father quietly impressive, reserved, wears glasses, trustworthy
Calpurnia- Black, proud woman raising Scout and Jem b/c they are motherless,
Dill - Small boy but wise, close to Jem’s age, He lacks a home life and adopts the Finch’s to be his family
Maudie Atkinson -Adult woman younger than Atticus, lovely and sensitive, wise and Southern
Walter Cunningham-Male farmer who shares his prejudices
Reverend Sykes- Black Minister strong stage presence
Heck Tate- Male town sheriff
Stephanie Crawford- Female adult town gossip, enjoys spreading rumors
Nathan Radley- Thin man similar to his brother Boo, could possibly double with Boo Radley
Boo Radley- Man, pale recluse, doesn’t interact with people much
Mrs. Dubose- Old woman, elderly, ill, grumpy and is harshly critical
Tom Robinson- Black Male with a left hand that is crippled, but fit, faces a false charge
Helen Robinson - Black Female, Tom’s wife, numb from the shock of Tom’s accusation
Judge Taylor- Wintry older gentleman, Sympathizes with Tom
Mr. Gilmer- Male Prosecuting Atty., Cruel, and hurtful, but at times doubts the innocence of his client
Bob Ewell- Male, filthy angry man, lives by the town dump, paranoid, sees the trial as his redemption making him important
Mayella Ewell- Bob’s daughter 19 years old, desperately lonely, no friends, overworked, raising her 7 siblings, she’s just trying to survive
